What's a good color printer to buy for home use? I don't have a land line phone and use catv for the net.

$100-200 rangeWhat's a good color printer to buy for home use? I don't have a land line phone and use catv for the net.
Get the Canon MP530. You can get it for less than $200 with free shipping. I paid $158.99 + free shipping for mine from amazon.com back in July.

Prints awesome color photographs.

Can also print borderless photos.

Prints fast clean documents.

It is also a copier (b%26amp;w and color), fax and scanner.

I don't use the fax feature, but when I want to send documents to someone I just scan them in and e-mail them as a PDF.

My favorite feature though is that it has an automatic document feeder. So if I want to copy 5 pages I can load all 5 pages (or up to 30 pages) in and it will self feed and copy all 5 pages for me automatically.

It works the same way for scanning. I can load up to 30 pages into the doc feeder and it will scan them all to a PDF file for me to e-mail or to jpg or whatever I need. Beats hand loading each page to be copied or scanned.

Also, you can lift the top and use it like a flat bed scanner too, that way if you need to scan or copy a page in a book or magazine it's no problem, you are not ';forced'; to use the auto document feeder like many other models do.

Get the Canon MP530. It is a pretty good printer four the money. It faxes, prints, copies and scans, all of the things that the entry before this one by Darren listed.

The ink is very inexpensive compared to HP, Lexmark, Epson and Brother. It uses five cartridges, pigment black which is around $16.25, black, cyan, yellow and magenta which all go for $14.25 to $16 each.

The only drawback is that it isn't prudent to use refill ink tanks or knockoffs because the machine won't work properly because each cartridge has a microchip on it.

The quality is what sells for me. Customer service is a great thing also. It is good to get that extended warranty also.
Go wireless if you have wifi computer and router. About $200. Will not have fax capabilities without land line.
