I just got a Xerox Phaser 6250 that my mom was getting rid of but she didn't have the manual. It is a color printer but i cant get it to print color except the test page. How do i make my printer print in color?
Here is the site where you can get a free Manual and it will explain any other problems you may have
http://www.office.xerox.com/printers/col鈥?/a>
Also, their are features on the printer itself where you can select the color mode. Xeros are fusy printers but if you go to the site I have sent you, you will print in no time :)How do i make my printer print in color?
If the test page prints out correctly in color, then the printer setup is fine.
Then the problem is the print job your computer sending to the printer.
First, do you have the right printer driver on your computer?
You should be able to download printer drivers from the company site.
Next, and this is may be a silly question, but you never know, is the print job you are sending to the printer has color on it?
For example, if you send a Word document that has only black text on it, of course, it's going to print in black ink. The printer will only print what your computer tells it to, and your computer will tell the printer to print whatever is in the document. Try changing the color of some of the text or try printing a color image. And of course, that's assuming you have the right printer driver installed too.
