My color printer will not print in black, but has no problem with other colors.?

I just refilled all of the ink cartridges because of the problem, and all of them print fine, except for the black. No faint markings or anything like that. Just blank. I've tried two other new black ink cartridges, but neither works. What should i do? (other than take it to a repair shop. What can i do myself?)My color printer will not print in black, but has no problem with other colors.?
You've just run into the problem of refilled cartridges. (see http://ccs-digital.com/refills.asp) The black ink left over in the cartridge formed clots. You added new ink and now the clots traveled to the heads and clogged them. You can try dropping rubbing alcohol where the ink enters the printer and hope it unblocks the heads.

If you want to save money, buy brand new (not remanufactured or refilled) compatible cartridges. They can usually be found for under $3.
