Xerox Phaser 6360 (midrange), Xerox 7760 expensive but built for graphics, Xerox 8860 (lowest cost per print .015 cents per print est. wax based).
Konica-Minolta 5550/5570 (midrange) EXCELLENT print quality. HP Color LaserJet 4700 (budget not great for graphics), CL7200 series (older printer probably best graphics output)
Stay away from the Xerox 7400 and also most Okidata's as they are LED printers. The LED printers have problems printing on a glossy paper.
I would only recommend ink for very low volume print applications.

Does the little designing agency plan on getting bigger ?
Would you like your designs to look like crapola to show folks ?
Get the best laser color printer you can afford. You won't regret it.

Remember to look at the printer cartridges that goes into the printer.
Instead of Laser, look at HP's Officejet Pro line of printers, lower cost per page, faster speeds then low end color laser printers.
Ink sucks unless you are doing a very low quantity of prints. I like the Magicolor line of printers.
